Hey Folks,

As promised, today I’m announcing another speaker for jvAlert Live Orlando on February, 8th, 9th and 10th.

I thought that I knew Christine. I’ve read her amazing, New York Times best selling book, Rules for Renegades and I’ve interviewed her in depth for my own book, Impact: How to Get Noticed, Motivate Millions and Make a Difference in a Noisy World. But I found that I haven’t even scratched the surface when her office sent me her bio for the event.

Christine has been a consistent mover, shaker and trailblazer in the software industry, emerging markets and Fortune 1000. Here are just a few facts to help you realize what an honor — and an amazing opportunity — to be able to have Christine speak at jvAlert Live Orlando.

Christine has assisted over 700 of the Fortune 1000 in accelerating innovation.

She was a founder of First Professional Bank, Kuvera Associates, Corporate Computing, planetU and Artemis Ventures. All of these companies have either been acquired or taken public.

Christine’s expertise is a result of over 20 years in operational high tech positions at Microsoft, Lotus, Adobe and Apple as well as strategy advisor to Oracle and Symantec. Christine has consulted with the White House on technology and small business strategies, and has garnered numerous industry accolades.

Today Christine leads Mighty Ventures, a business accelerator that assists small to large companies in boosting revenue and optimizing performance.

She is also a columnist, where you’ll find her on the home page of BusinessWeek Small Business.

Christine has been …

  • Named one of the Top 25 Women on the Web by SFWoW
  • Named one of the Top Five “Renegade” entrepreneurs by Success magazine
  • Named one of the Top Women in Computing by Business Week
  • Featured in the PBS specials about the software industry
  • Received numerous awards and recognition from premier press and business schools including Fortune, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Stanford, Harvard, Haas and Northwestern Universities.
  • A featured speaker for over 400 organizations including, Harvard Business School, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Stanford Graduate School of Business, UCB Haas School of Business, UCLA Anderson School of Business; CIO, I.T. management, and software developer conferences sponsored by Computer Associates, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Symantec, Information Builders, AT&T, Business Objects, Hyperion, the U.S. Government, FMI, GMA, CAMP, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and many more.
  • Keynote speaker for Intel, Microsoft, Palm, Department of Defense, and many more. Has spoken in 14 countries on four continents.
  • Quoted frequently as a respected industry speaker and pundit in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Forbes and other high-profile publications.
  • Featured in cover stories for Fortune, Forbes, Upside, Wall Street Journal. Assisted the White House and National Performance Review in the formation of the U.S. Government’s technology and intranet strategies
  • A volunteer for Lifeworks, an organization that provides after school programs for at-risk children.

Bill Gates calls her “super high bandwidth.” I guess he should know because he dated her.

President Bill Clinton has thanked her for “fostering American entrepreneurship.” Newsweek says she’s “the person you want to partner with.

Christine is known as the renegade entrepreneur and she’s a a self-made multi-millionaire.

She ran away from home at 16 to become a model in New York City, became a Buddhist monk, broke her vows, decided to become a millionaire, made $10 Million dollars, gave away $3 Million to non-profits, retired at 40, got married to the man of her dreams ….

Christine has lead a very interesting life and she shares much of it in her book, Rules for Renegades. She recounts her first date with Bill Gates, who she met when she was a contractor for Microsoft and pokes a little fun at his methods in the romance department. She also talks about dating Oracle’s Larry Ellison and encounters with Barbara Walters and the Clintons, but this isn’t a gossip book. Christine learns something useful from them all.

As a five-time CEO/entrepreneur, she has defined new markets, developed products to serve them, and executed sales, marketing and product strategies. Throughout Christine’s 20 year career in business, she has started five of her own companies, all of which have been acquired or taken public, assisted 700 of the fortune 1000 and advised to the White House.

Rules for Renegades is an upbeat, irreverent business book for entrepreneurs, outgoing spirits and eponymous renegades. Christine provides practical, step-by-step advice for starting up a company, making it in a cutthroat environment and reaching life goals in record time. You’ll also be entertained by her hilarious life story.

In Rules for Renegades, Christine shares many bizarre and touching situations: hiring employees before she actually has a firm; posing as a man to score a programming job in the macho world of ’80s Microsoft; dating Bill Gates to learn confidence; making (and losing) millions of dollars through guts, sales know-how and force of personality.

Emphasizing visualization and self-confidence, Christine tackles the spiritual issues of prosperity as well as the down-and-dirty details of payroll and writing a killer business plan. This rags-to-riches story is as pleasurable to read as it is thought provoking.

Christine shares how she built all her businesses from the ground up, how she rocked rejection and “failed forward” with every mistake in the face of incredible odds, and how she got the rich and famous to help her achieve outrageous goals.

She divulges her successes and her failures in business and in her personal life.

Imagine meeting Christine and spending some quality time with her in a small group setting.
